What you need to have ready prior to your onboarding meeting!
- Your Windows Account Username & Password (if your server PC is locked behind one)
- Your Windows Server Version is 2016 or Newer
- Your Open Dental Username & Password (if your OpenDental admin account is locked behind one)
- Your Open Dental version is no older than version 20
- Your OpenDental MySQL Username & Password
- If you do not remember setting one up, this could be blank but this is not always the case, confirm with your IT department about the details.
- This may be the same as your OpenDental account password but is usually not, confirm with your IT department about the details.
- Someone who can physically access the server PC so that we can install the remote access software. (the remote access software has to be installed on the main server PC)
- You do not have to be physically there for the entire installation, only to install the remote access software.
Your MySQL password is used to log in to the screenshot posted below. If you are not sure what your password is, contact the IT department responsible for the technical setup for your Open Dental and they will be able to assist you further.
If you do not remember setting up a MySQL password, there's a chance your database may have been set up without one.

Setting up Kasper/OpenDental for the first time
Please make sure you have all the requirements above, such as your OpenDental MySQL password, before the meeting to avoid any delays.
Once the Onboarding team acquires all of the credentials and requirements listed above, they will handle the entire OpenDental integration with Kasper. You are not required to stay on the call unless you would like to do so.
